Paul-Tex Lecor

July 18th, 2016 : It was at his workshop that I met our great Quebec painter, Mr. Paul-Tex Lecor on July 13. And what a meeting !! In a large room where dozens of works of art capture your attention with their scenes, both in the countryside and in a tavern and camaraderie, we sat very close to each other, in front of an almost completed canvas where we discussed at length his prestigious career as a painter and singer …. but also as a bush pilot; profession that he practiced in the far north at the beginning of the 80s. Besides, it is in front of a work of art with authentic characters, installed in his immense workshop and dating from 1981 that Mr. Lecor took pleasure in me recount that his numerous trips to the northern regions had inspired him, including, among others, the story of this “stripper” from Val-d’Or who, in 1981, went to show off her voluptuous talents in a Brisay bar ( James Bay), where many workers were long isolated from the pretty ladies !!

THANKS to PAUL-TEX LECOR !!!
